THE BLOB 1950s SCI-FI STEVE MCQUEENS FIRST BIG MOVIE 16MM FILM "THE BLOB” starring Steve McQueen Classic 1950s B rated sci-fi flick starring a monster from space in the form of a growing mass of goop, Steve McQueen, and Anita Corsaut. McQueen and Corsaut play teenagers who witness a meteorite fall to the earth. They jump into their car and rush to the scene to be greeted by a poor an old man that was poking the meteorite with a stick (see screen shot) when the alien, The Blob jumps from the stick into to hand. They take the old man to the local doctor, but it’s too late as the Blob consumes the old man and begins eating anyone he can glom onto. The Blob wreaks the small town, eating everything and everyone it its path, including a classic scene where The Blob invades the local movie theatre, and later an old greasy spoon dinner from the 1940's. The film is campy and cheesy and is a great addition to any monster or sci-fi horror collection. This was Steve McQueen’s first widely distributed movie. The print is on two reels and is in good condition, except it has turned pink. The film’s sound in the beginning is not that great, but is fine beginning with the first scene. There are some splices, none removing film scenes and there is slight VS.

16MM BORIS KARLOFF Film FRAKENTSEIN IMAGE 16MM FRANKENSTEIN - (Runtime: 71 min. on two reels) starring Colin Clive (Dr. Henry Frankenstein), Mae Clarke (Elizabeth Henry’s fiancée), John Boles (Victor Moritz), Boris Karloff (The Monster), Edward Van Sloan (Dr. Waldman), Frederick Kerr (Baron Frankenstein), Dwight Frye (Fritz) James Whale's classic Universal horror masterpiece. This is a fair to good dupe with some lines and good contrast. Except for the opening "warning" speech (which has fair contrast and low sound), the overall sound is excellent. The complete re-released version on two reels. Very few if any splices. No vinegar smell.
